MY 17TH BIRTHDAY

haha, im back everyone! last Sat, 24th of Feb was my 17th birthday, so basically this post will be dedicated to this special occasion. hahaha.

erm let me see, firstly i would like to thank all of my friends who bothered and cared for my birthday, through various ways. special thanks to the peeps who gave me presents: alvin, jianting, zixian, kahming, joanne, yiwen, ziwei (in order of present appearance). i really appreciate it. (certain presents really cost a bomb!) Of course, thanks to my Huangcheng classmates for leading the singing of the birthday song on Sat during Huangcheng. having 100+ people singing for me was really a joyous experience! oh and how can i forget the class singing at Mdm Yeoh's house? dat was really nice too. finally, thanks to all who sent me your regards through sms and msn.

oh and still got... my beloved family, who spent Sat night with me dining at a Korean restaurant. the food was great! thx to my cousin jaryn who bought a birthday cake for me. indeed, this has proved to be a memorable birthday.

well, originally intended to write more... but im feeling quite tired today, especially after a terrifying Chem test today. (shall not talk about it cos really too sad already, + this will clash with the happy theme on top) So see all of ya next time! Love ya all!

hi, just returned from Huangcheng CNY Tuan Bai. feeling a little nostalgic now, so i've decided to post 元好问's《迈陂塘·雁丘词》here. no other meaning. enjoy.

问世间情是何物，
直教生死相许?
天南地北双飞客，
老翅几回寒暑!
欢乐趣，离别苦，
就中更有痴儿女。
君应有语：
渺万里层云，
千山暮雪，
只影向谁去!
横汾路，寂寞当年箫鼓，
荒烟依旧平楚。
招魂楚些何嗟及，
山鬼暗啼风雨。
天也妒，未信与，
莺儿燕子俱黄土。
千秋万古，
为留待骚人，
狂歌痛饮，

A RENEWED BLOG!

hey, everyone! its being a LOOONGGGGGGG time since i last blogged! so let's congratulate me on the resurrection and revival of this blog! yayyy! haha.

ok with such a happy occasion, my blog skin has to be changed.... to this! hmm... im not sure whether you all will like such a skin, but i love it anyway. beforehand, i actually showed this to my mother, who disapproved, saying its too girlish. but i think its cute lor... and instead of thinking that its girlish, why not think in the other direction. issant choosing such a cute blog skin the best sign that im straight (i.e. not gay)? Lol.

anyway, if you have noticed, the reconstruction of my blog is still incomplete. i seriously dunno when i will find time again to do it... so as what i said on the front page, wait till a month later bah. really sorry arh. time is getting more and more precious.

oh yah, today is the first day of the lunar new year! yay!! i love Chinese New Year! haha, but this year's doesn't seem very interesting. yesterday I went to watch Jack Neo's new film: Just Follow Law, which is basically on life in the civil service. the movie is quite nice... just that i would expect more from such a critically-acclaimed director. the movie is indeed witty and funny, but to me, many of the funny parts seem very disjointed. in essence, the "storyness" (gu shi xing) of the whole film is not very strong. (what good english!)

if u notice, this is a very rushed post, due to the fact that now is 3am in the morning! my goodness. so really sorry for everything. bye!
